Hi there!
This is a megathread for everything sprite related. Here we can take a quick look on what efforts our team makes on creating any kind of pixel art.
Take in mind that as 24 Nov 18 we have still to decide how we will approach the decision on how to do gameplay art, so this thread can be a bit random until that is decided.
Current sprite developments and discussion can be seen in the following posts. Once the art style is defined we well pivot this thread to a repository and submission pitches, to then be finally decided on and uploaded to the wiki.

It's neat looking, but I think it might be too slow to be practical in-game. What's it look like at double-speed?

Double speed looks like this: ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/408729725947740162/516685168161849371/comicballoonemptyprettyfast.gif) It's pretty easy to change that on the aseprite, so just ask what speed you like and i'll change it quickly. Right now the animation it's 50 milliseconds long, and the previous one it's 100 milliseconds long.

Might still be too slow. :/
These would need to be quick and snappy so they don't cause too much delay in scenes. I like the weight it has though, so I think the animation itself is good. We'll have to calibrate it when we got to implement them.

Gonna be kinda blunt and honest here - I think the first post should be cleared out until we have a unified art style. Right now, none of the sprites made will be acceptable in the game, as none of them factor in the art style for Overworld, Battle, or UI - all of which should be decided upon before any art submissions take place at all.
I'm not against a place for people to show off their other work, but that really should be reserved for a portfolio thread, rather than a repository.

Here is a sprite i made for the mercury girl concept, i have not seen any colour variants on the forums so i used some deeper aqua and silver for the outfit, For the hair i gave her the cyan colour most mercury users in the golden sun universe have. It looked like the skin was up for debate for tan or pale and i decided to just do up one for each Please feel free to take these and edit them if you see fit this is just some work i did today during my day off.

Well, for now my megathread idea for this was to have a place for everyone to know that some work is being done on sprite ideas. However as a repository it does not match very well as the style is not defined yet, and that could be misleading to newcomers or people wanting to work on art. So I'm removing the first post index for now. The thread is still not too large to check it out for art.
